HFD: Cause of 2-alarm fire that scorched Aiea home ruled as accidental

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Honolulu Fire Department has discovered the cause of a 2-alarm blaze that broke out in a home in Aiea on Wednesday.
HFD received the call around 1:10 p.m. to the fire on Hapaki Street.
HFD calls it an accident, saying it started because of unattended cooking.
The fire caused an estimated $158,000 in damage.
There were no injuries, but the fire displaced two residents.
The American Red Cross is helping those individuals.
